Matt and Carter do our installs. No unknown subcontractors. Hunter Douglas orders usually take 3 to 5 weeks.

Yes. A Shade Above Coastal is an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer. Our showroom is in Cherry Grove, North Myrtle Beach, and our Ocean Isle Beach showroom is open too.
Which Hunter Douglas shades do you carry?
Silhouette, Pirouette, Vignette, Luminette, Alustra and Nantucket, plus Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades and PowerView motorization.
What's the difference between Silhouette and Pirouette?
Silhouette has soft fabric vanes floating between two sheers. Pirouette's vanes are wider and overlap when closed, so it looks fuller, more like a roman shade. Silhouette is the lighter look and Pirouette is the warmer one. We can show you both side by side at the showroom.
Can Hunter Douglas shades be motorized?
Yes. PowerView runs them from a remote, from your phone, or on a schedule, and works with Alexa, Google Home and Control4. See the motorization page.
How long does a Hunter Douglas order take?
Usually 3 to 5 weeks. Motorized orders take a little longer. We give you a date with your quote.
Where can I see them in person?
At our Cherry Grove showroom on Sea Mountain Hwy, beside Platt’s Seafood. It's open Mon–Fri 10–5 and Saturday 10–2. Or we bring the sample books to you.
Where have you installed them lately?
